At Harmonicas Ireland, I’m delighted to offer a limited batch of Seydel Session Steel Orchestra harmonicas – all in as-new condition, expertly refurbished and individually fine-tuned for players who love a deep, expressive low register at seriously low prices!!
These are limited stock instruments – once this batch is gone, it’s gone for good – so if you’ve been thinking about adding serious low-end Seydels to your collection, now is the time.
As-New Quality, Custom-Level Setup, Better-Than-New Value
The Seydel Session Steel Orchestra is a professional low-tuned diatonic harmonica designed for a rich, resonant low register with precise melodic control.
At Harmonicas Ireland, each one is supplied as-new and expertly refurbished:
Fully dismantled and deep-cleaned
Checked for flatness, air-tightness and mechanical issues
Individually gapped and fine-tuned for accurate melody playing, slow airs and expressive phrasing
Brought to an “as good as new or better” playing standard
Sold with a voucher towards future repairs and maintenance, so you can return the instrument for follow-up servicing at a discount and keep it playing beautifully for many years to come
Because these instruments are as-new and refurbished, rather than straight off a production line, they offer excellent value for money: you get a professionally optimised Session Steel Orchestra at a lower price than buying brand new, with expert setup and a future service voucher effectively built into the deal.
If you are looking for a low-tuned Seydel harmonica that combines playability, longevity and value, this range from Harmonicas Ireland has been designed with you in mind.
Keys in Stock – A Powerful Low-register Toolkit
The Seydel Session Steel Orchestra models currently available from Harmonicas Ireland cover a very practical spread of keys for traditional and contemporary music:
Together, these give you a powerful low-register toolkit, ideal for:
Irish traditional music
Drones and pedal tones
Accompaniment and chord vamping
Slow airs, modern folk and roots styles
Deep, soulful melodic playing in the low register
Stock in each key is strictly limited. Once a key is sold out, there is no guarantee I will be able to source another Session Steel Orchestra in that tuning on the same terms again.
Designed for Low Tunings – Tone, Power, Stability & Value
Built on the renowned Session Steel platform, the Session Steel Orchestra is optimised for low tunings:
Stainless-steel reeds for long life, stable tuning and strong projection
Red ABS comb – non-swelling, easy to clean and comfortable under the lips
Ergonomic stainless-steel covers with smooth, rounded edges for relaxed playing
Stainless hardware throughout for durability and easy servicing
The stainless-steel reeds and tight tolerances help the long low reeds speak quickly, cleanly and in tune, avoiding the sluggish or “flabby” response that can plague some low-tuned instruments.
Combined with my individual setup work here at Harmonicas Ireland, each harp is ready for serious melodic work straight away.
Because these instruments are sold as-new and refurbished, you benefit from:
Higher playing quality – every harp is checked, adjusted and tuned by a specialist.
Lower cost than brand-new retail, making it easier to build up a full set of low keys without overspending.
A built-in future repair voucher, encouraging regular maintenance so your harmonica can keep performing indefinitely with proper care.
Orchestra (Solo) Tuning – Musical Logic in the Low End
The Session Steel Orchestra uses a solo/orchestra tuning layout rather than the standard Richter pattern:
The root note is placed on hole 3 blow
Extra low notes are added on holes 1 and 2
The scale runs in a logical, predictable sequence over roughly two and a half octaves
This tuning gives you:
A true orchestral low register for drones, basslines and lush chord pads
Easy-to-navigate low melodies, perfect for slow airs, traditional tunes and lyrical lines
A strong central tonic with deep, resonant support below it
Players coming from chromatic harmonica or other solo-tuned layouts will find the breath pattern intuitive, while Richter players gain a far more complete and musical low range for both melody and accompaniment.

Professional Refurbishment & Setup – All work carried out by Cathal Johnson, an experienced harmonica technician and player based in Galway, ensuring each harp is gig-ready.
Melody-Focused Response – Every harmonica is gapped and tuned with clear, accurate melodic response in mind – especially important in the low keys where poor setup is very noticeable.
Voucher for Future Care – Each sale includes a voucher towards future repairs and maintenance, so you can easily bring the instrument back for cleaning, reed replacement, re-gapping or retuning and keep it performing at a high level indefinitely.
Independent Irish Specialist – Buying from Harmonicas Ireland means dealing directly with a harmonica-focused business, not a general warehouse or anonymous online marketplace.
Limited Stock – This is a one-off batch. Once these as-new Session Steel Orchestra harmonicas are sold, there is no guarantee I will be able to replace them – when they’re gone, they’re gone.
