In August 1923, German immigrant Alfred Hering founded the Gaitas Alfred Hering Company in Blumenau, Southern Brazil, marking the beginning of Hering harmonica production. Nearly a century later, the company remains renowned for creating some of the finest harmonicas in the world, beloved by musicians across genres including blues, jazz, country, folk, classical, and ethnic music.
