Get ready to celebrate Lúnasa in Oranmore! On the 10th of August 2024 at 7 pm, the town will come alive with the soulful music! Join Jacqueline McCarthy, Tommy Keane, Mick Conneely & Fintan O’ Malley for a musical night to celebrate Lúnasa. Special guest on the evening will be Cathal Johnson.
Traditionally, Lúnasa festivities involved climbing hills and offering up music, song and dance to the great gods to ensure a good harvest. Many climb Croaghpatrick for Lúnasa. However, if the thoughts of climbing ‘The Reek’ are too much you should get some tickets for this wonderful evening of music. On Saturday 10st of Augusy at 7pm our Lúnasa event will be offering up Traditional Irish sounds and songs in wonderful surrounding of The Glasshouse.
Soundwaves is a brand new series of Music and Performing Art Events which will take place in Middlethird Social Farm, starting in March 2024. The aim of Soundwaves is create a place where the peace and tranquillity of the farm can serve as a safe social space for people of all ages to access and enjoy a variety of live music and performing arts events in rural Ireland.
